In hockey, a team is on the power play when a player from the opposing team has taken a penalty and is in the penalty box. This means that the opposing team only has 4 players on the ice (not including the goalie), and the team on the power play has 5 (the regular amount).

In the Pokemon series of video games, a Pokemon's PP dictates the amount of times it can use a certain attack.

For example, if a Pokemon has 5 PP for the attack Fire Blast, then it can use that attack 5 times.
